Statistics and Reliability

Quality, Environment and Safety Management
  • ApresentaçãoPresentation
The Statistics and Reliability Curricular Unit aims to provide students with knowledge and tools that help in the study area.
  • ProgramaProgramme
    1. Fundamental Concepts of Statistics - Data Registration - Frequency Distribution - Normal Distribution - Binomial Distribution - Poisson distribution - Study of Normality of a Distribution (Histogram, Henry Line,...) - Statistical Inference 2. Control Charts - Introduction - Principles of Control Charts - Types of Control Charts - Variable Control Charts - Attribute Control Cards 3. Process Capability - Concept - Process Capability Indexes - Process Capacity Estimates - Interpretation of capacity studies 4. Sampling Plans - Operating characteristic curve - ISO 2859 – Sampling procedures for inspection by attributes 5.Reliability - Concept of reliability - Probability of failures associated with equipment and systems (series and parallel)
  • ObjectivosObjectives
The objectives of the curricular unit are: - Provide students with the information necessary to understand and analyze the applicability of statistics in organizations. - Acquire bases for the practice of statistical failure analysis. - Identify and solve manufacturing problems, using statistical methods.
