ObjectivosObjectivesO1. Develop students' reasoning skills. O2. To provide the basic foundations of quantitative methods, usually applied in the areas of management and marketing. O3. Provide students with knowledge of how to select the methods and processes best suited to solving a specific problem. O4. Correctly use mathematical language to develop calculation techniques that enable them to create or deepen knowledge that is essential for further study in later years. O5. Master the fundamental concepts related to infinitesimal analysis. O6. Identify the different types of equations, inequalities and real functions with real variables. O7. Predict and characterize the functions to be used in practical application. O8. Apply calculation techniques in different situations.

MetodologiaMethodologyThe methodology integrates activities across three learning phases-synchronous distance learning, in-person learning, and self-directed learning-to promote the acquisition, application, and consolidation of knowledge. In synchronous sessions, the expository and demonstrative methods are used to present concepts, provide practical examples, and address learning questions through Moodle. In-person sessions emphasize practical application through exercises, active participation, and pedagogical methodologies such as the flipped classroom and gamification, fostering students' analytical and synthesis skills as well as their autonomy. During self-directed study, students consolidate their understanding through research and by completing supplementary activities assigned by the instructor.

Avaliação Curricular (contínua):
A1. Portfólio de exercícios práticos resolvidos ao longo das aulas. Realizados nas aulas presenciais.
A2. Teste intermédio (individual). Teste escrito realizado sensivelmente a meio do período letivo do semestre.
A3. Teste final (individual). Teste escrito realizado no final do semestre.
O estudante é aprovado se a classificação final for igual ou superior a 9,5 valores em 20.
A classificação final é calculada através da fórmula Classificação Final = 0,2*A1+0,4*A2+0,4*A3.
Avaliação Final (A): O estudante realiza o exame escrito completo (A=100%) e é aprovado se obtiver uma classificação igual ou superior a
9,5 valores em 20.
A classificação mínima na avaliação curricular (continua) é a seguinte:- Portfólio de exercícios práticos resolvidos ao longo das aulas: 10 valores- Teste intermédio (individual): 6 valores- Teste final (individual): 8 valores
Avaliação em Época de Recurso e Época Especial (A): O estudante realiza o exame escrito completo (A=100%) e fica aprovado se obtiver
uma classificação igual ou superior a 9,5 valores em 20.
