Quality in business processes, from production to customer service, constitutes a fundamental differentiating element for operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. For the reasons stated, implementing quality management systems has become vital, as well as certification of SMEs based on internationally recognized technical standards. Since small and medium enterprises are characterized by limited resources but high flexibility, it is essential to ensure quality at each stage of their processes, guaranteeing resource optimization, waste reduction, and continuous improvement to achieve operational excellence and business sustainability.

ObjectivosObjectivesThe objectives of the course unit are: - Present the concepts and techniques associated with quality management. - Provide students with knowledge of the most recent theoretical approaches and their practical applications regarding quality, in the current context of complexity and uncertainty. - Show that the study of quality and its relationship with sustainability is essential for organizational performance. - Frame the human resources function as a specific function in the organization and as a management philosophy.
