    The aim of this course is to provide students with a view of cost accounting, supported by exercises, namely the Industrial Cost of the Product, of the different areas of management, taking into account the labor, general manufacturing costs and raw material used.
  • ProgramaProgramme
    Define Cost Hierarchy, relationship between cost, volume and results and costing systems (chapters 1, 2, 3 and 4); Identify the relativity of cost, and its determination, analysis by classes and variability of costs (5,6 and 7); Analyze the costing systems, based on activity (ABC-Activity Based Costing) and cost centers applied to the sector, budget and budget control ((ch. 8, 9, 10, 1 and 12).

    The objectives are: Characterize the objectives and accounting tools, in the context of management; Understand the terminology, instructives and techniques of Management Accounting; Apply pricing techniques; Propose economic and financial solutions or change the company's business plan according to the results.

    Innovative methodologies will be adopted in the teaching-learning process, aimed at promoting active, collaborative learning geared towards solving real problems. Among the methodologies to be used, the following stand out: Problem-Based Learning; Gamification; Flipped Classroom; Design Thinking; Case Studies. Real-life case studies will also be used, allowing students to explore authentic business scenarios and develop problem-solving skills. Students will also be encouraged to write a final paper, which will challenge them to explore a relevant topic in depth, applying theoretical knowledge in practice and developing research and critical analysis skills.
