  • ObjectivosObjectives
O1. Provide solid training in the areas of Data Communication, LAN, WAN and Wireless Networks. O2. Present Architectures, Topologies and Communication Protocols. O3. Identify the different Types of Networks. O4. Introduce structured network design and project. Competences: C1. Describe the structure of a network, including the devices and means necessary for communication. C2. Describe each layer of the OSI model and compare it with the TCP/IP model. C3. Define the addressing scheme of a network, whether a complete network or a subnet. C4. Identify protocols and network architectures. C5. Identify network technologies, following Ethernet and IEEE 802.11 standards. C6. Define the addressing structure of a network following the IPV4 and IPV6 protocols. C7. Plan and implement computer networks using the most appropriate technologies for each situation.

  • MetodologiaMethodology
The course combines synchronous distance learning, in-person instruction, and self-paced learning. For distance learning, the course uses lecture-based, demonstration-based, and interactive methods, supplemented by guided exercises and online tests on the Cisco Academy platform. In-person sessions include simulated practical exercises based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) methodology, using real equipment and the Packet Tracer simulator. In the self-paced component, students complete additional application exercises assigned by the instructor. Instructional resources are made available through Moodle, ISLA's Cisco Academy, the networking lab, and Packet Tracer. The instructor provides guidance and feedback in person or via digital platforms. Additionally, students earn the CCNA1 - Introduction to Networking certification from the Cisco Networking Academy.

  • AvaliaçãoEvaluation

    Avaliação Curricular (contínua):
