    Understand the general notions of Law, its functions, sources and framework within the Rule of Law. Identify the sovereign bodies and the legislative process. Know the institutional and legal framework of the tourism sector in Portugal. Recognise the main legal regimes applicable to tourism activities. Understand the multi-level structure of tourism legislation (international, national and sectoral). Interpret legal rules applicable to tourism. Apply legal concepts to practical situations (contracts, liability, licensing). Integrate legal compliance into tourism management, valuing consumer protection and sector sustainability.

    On-site: Theoretical-practical teaching: Presentation of concepts and discussion of syllabus contents. Laboratory practice: Critical analysis of case studies related to the legal nature of tourism businesses. Simulated practice: Scenarios and activities enabling students to explore real-world situations and solve tourism-related problems, applying the fundamental concepts presented and developing practical skills in addressing legal issues concerning tourism enterprises and visitors, through collaborative learning. Independent study: Consolidation of classroom content through additional research on the topics covered and the development of supplementary work related to solving concrete problems and group dynamics.
