ApresentaçãoPresentationThe course introduces the fundamental legal parameters of the world of work, enabling students to understand labor and social security law, interpret and apply legal concepts, develop critical and argumentative skills, and guide the various stakeholders in complying with legal requirements in occupational health and safety.

ObjectivosObjectivesO1. Provide students with knowledge of the fundamental legal parameters governing the world of work. Competencies: C1. Develop critical and argumentative skills in relation to positive law; C2. Develop skills within the scope of the course, acquiring essential notions in labor law and understanding the legal framework of individual and collective relations and their framework in relation to Social Security; C3. Understand the main institutions of labor law, developing skills that enable them to act as a social actor in the system, addressing its difficulties and opportunities; C4. Know the applications of the use of certain legal figures; C5. Guide and advise different stakeholders in economic activity on the labor legislative framework and compliance with the requirements in terms of SHST.

MetodologiaMethodologyFace-to-face: Brief presentations are favored to introduce fundamental concepts, immediately followed by moments of interaction with students through guided discussion, analysis of practical cases, and reading/interpretation of legal regulations, in order to promote meaningful and contextualized learning. Independent work: Students are encouraged to explore the topics covered in class in greater depth through guided reading of legislation and supporting materials, as well as through the independent resolution of practical cases, which will be discussed and clarified in the face-to-face sessions.

A avaliação curricular será concretizada através da realização de:
