    This curricular unit offers an integrated and critical exploration of contemporary strategic dimensions of Human Resources Management, articulating emerging themes such as workplace happiness, strategic leadership, and employer branding. Through interactive seminars with experts and practical case analysis, students will develop essential competencies in strategic thinking, critical analysis, and systemic vision, preparing them to lead organizational transformations in an increasingly dynamic and complex reality. This unit adds significant value to the master's programme by connecting theoretical concepts with real market challenges, promoting comprehensive training of HR professionals capable of creating strategic impact in organizations.

  • ObjectivosObjectives
    The objectives of this course are to provide an integrated understanding of the main trends and contemporary challenges in strategic human resource management, to develop the ability to critically analyse HR policies and practices by assessing their alignment with organizational strategy and the creation of sustainable value, and to foster the articulation between theory and practice through the discussion of real cases, promoting an informed reflection on the strategic role of HR in complex and changing contexts. Students should thus acquire the ability to integrate multidisciplinary knowledge (leadership, organizational culture, well-being, communication, employer branding) in the design of HR intervention proposals, as well as oral and written communication skills in academic and professional contexts, namely in the presentation and discussion of well-founded ideas.

    O trabalho de avaliação individuala da UC consiste na escolha do tema de um dos seminários lecionados  para uma reflexão sobre os conceitos do mesmo. Explicitação dos conceitos associados, através de uma revisão bibliográfica, com uma reflexão crítica do tema escolhido no âmbito da Gestão de Recursos Humanos.

    The individual assessment for this course consists of selecting the topic of one of the seminars taught and developing a reflection on its core concepts. This involves explaining the associated concepts through a literature review, complemented by a critical reflection on the chosen topic within the scope of Human Resource Management.
