ApresentaçãoPresentationThe course aims to understand the concept of psychology and the main theoretical approaches, identify and characterize research methods, explain theories of motivation and emotions, learn about measures of intelligence and personality models, analyze processes such as perception, memory, and thinking, and apply this knowledge to practical cases and real contexts, demonstrating mastery of the most commonly used methodologies in psychological research.

ObjectivosObjectivesThe objectives of the curricular unit are: O1. Identify the concept and approaches of psychology O2. Differentiate between the most used methods in psychology O3. Identify the motivational theories and apply them to practical cases O4. Recognize different emotions as well as identify emotional theories O5. Know the intelligence measures and reflect on related theories O6. Reflect on the history and theoretical assumptions in the area of the personality O7. List the factors that influence the perceptual structuring O8. Distinguish memory types At the end of the semester, students should be able to: C1. Demonstrate an understanding of the characteristics of psychology as a science, distinguishing it from other forms of non-scientific knowledge. C2. Know the basic psychological processes; C3. Focus knowledge about the methodologies used in research in psychology.

AvaliaçãoEvaluation
Avaliação curricular é composta por um estudo de caso e um teste escrito, com ponderação de 50% em cada um. A classificação final corresponde à média aritmética dos dois momentos de avaliação e para aprovação à Unidade Curricular, a mesma terá que ser igual ou superior a 9,5 valores.
Os estudantes que não tenham aprovação na avaliação curricular tem possibilidade de realizar exame final (100%).
