ApresentaçãoPresentationThe course deepens the assessment of risks in occupational health and safety, addressing objectives, methodologies, and planning, and enabling students to choose and apply techniques to safety, hygiene, ergonomics, and psychosocial factors, as well as to record, communicate results, and provide technical guidance on risk management and control.

Evaluation of occupational hazards 1.1 Concepts, goals and objectives of prevention of occupational hazards. 1.2 Methods of identifying hazards, assessing and controlling risks. 1.3 Analysis techniques deductive and inductive. 2. Control of occupational hazards 2.1 General principles of prevention and risk control strategies 2.2 Prevention and protection 2.3 Criteria for scheduling the implementation of measures. 3. Risk management 3.1 Techniques for monitoring and controlling the implementation of prevention measures 3.2 Methods and techniques for assessment of compliance procedures. 3.3 Techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of the measures.

ObjectivosObjectivesO1. Conceptualizing risk assessment, their goals, and methodologies; O2. Identify, select and apply methods and techniques of risk assessment, O3. Design a plan for risk assessment, identifying priorities and mechanisms of legitimation of the same; O4. Records and carry out establish communications on the risk assessment. At the end of curricular unit students should be able to: O5. Define the risk assessment and relate it to the general principles of preventative safety and health at work; O6. Using the methods and techniques appropriate to evaluate the risks associated with safety and hygiene at work, the ergonomic and psychosocial factors and work organization; O7. Orient technically the activities of professionals in occupational safety and health at work relating to the assessment and risk control.

Avaliação curricular (contínua):
A avaliação curricular é composta pela realização de um trabalho de grupo e um teste, em que são aplicados os principais conteúdos programáticos.
Fórmula de cálculo:
- Teste – 50%
- Trabalho – 50%
Todos os estudantes que neste regime de avaliação tenham obtido média inferior a 9,50 valores são avaliados em avaliação final.
Avaliação final:
Nas épocas normal, de recurso e especial a avaliação será orientada pelos mesmos objetivos e baseia-se num exame (100%) integrando a componente teórica e a componente prática da unidade curricular.
