Occupational Safety - Main concepts of occupational safety - Safety in machine design and equipment use • Legal and regulatory requirements, hazards, and risks • Prevention and protection systems - Safety in performing activities with specific risks • Load handling, electricity, welding, confined spaces - Safety in the use of hazardous materials and substances • Classification, labeling, storage, and use • Safety data sheets 2. Emergency Management - Fire safety in buildings - General concepts of emergencies, technological, natural, and antisocial risks - Prevention and protection measures against technological, natural, and antisocial risks; - Self-protection measures • Safety records • Prevention procedures and plans • Emergency procedures and plans • Awareness-raising and training activities in SCIE • Simulation exercises

ObjectivosObjectives- Recognize and apply occupational safety terminology. - Recognize and apply safety requirements for machinery, hazardous substances, and the performance of risky activities. - Identify and apply emergency management methodologies (technological, natural, and antisocial risks). - Identify and apply risk prevention and protection measures. - Implement self-protection measures appropriate to risk categories.

MetodologiaMethodologyThe teaching methodologies are based on interrogative and active methods aimed at the discussion and resolution of theoretical and practical exercises in the classroom context, completed with the presentation of theoretical content. The teacher provides case studies and practical application exercises that require the resolution of problems commonly faced by qualified professionals in the field of study, as well as other materials through the content management platform (Moodle).
