Structured cabling design - Understanding project planning - Wiring installation (UTP) - Connection of cables in the rack: patch panels and patch cables - Physical and logical configuration.
  • ObjectivosObjectives
The objectives of the discipline are: - Know the basic concepts related to computer networks, namely what a computer network is and what the tasks are. - Characterize the different architectures of computer networks. - Characterize the OSI and TCP/IP models. - Characterize computer network equipment. - Characterize Ethernet, Token Ring, FDDI technologies.

  • MetodologiaMethodology
In person: Academic activities will be developed according to the problem/project-based learning methodology (Project Based Learning) complemented by the Flipped Classroom methodology. To achieve the objectives, a network laboratory (Cisco) and network simulator software (Packet Tracer) will be made available to students. Autonomous: Students will have permanent access to content made available on the institution's collaborative and learning platforms (Moodle, ISLA X Academy and ISLA Cisco Academy) as support materials for the proposed methodologies. To achieve the objectives, network simulator software (Packet Tracer) will be made available to students.
