  The Information and Communication Technologies curricular unit focuses on equipping students with the skills to effectively use digital technologies through a practical approach that includes the use of operating systems, productivity tools, and cloud computing platforms. The curricular unit covers the use of software and hardware from the perspective of both user and manager, addressing everything from operating system management to the application of collaborative tools and cloud computing solutions. This curricular unit is essential for any study program that aims to train professionals capable of operating in a digital and technological environment, especially in management, marketing, informatics, and other fields where technological efficiency is crucial. Its relevance lies in the need to equip students with digital skills that are increasingly demanded by the job market, promoting digital literacy and the ability to adapt to new technological tools.

    *** The objectives of this course are as follows: - To enable students to acquire IT skills (hardware and software) from a management and user perspective. - To provide students with the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary for the correct use of IT technologies in their personal and professional activities. - To provide students with the opportunity to use virtual learning environments. - To present the fundamentals of cloud computing. - To present the main tools available on cloud computing platforms.   *** By the end of this course, students should be able to: - Apply techniques and select the most appropriate IT applications for each situation; - Use synchronous and asynchronous communication tools; - Use a cloud computing platform. - Develop and incorporate content into collaborative computing and learning platforms.

• MetodologiaMethodology

     Teaching methodologies are based on expository, interrogative, and active methods, as well as the resolution of theoretical and practical exercises in the classroom. In normal terms, curricular assessment consists of individual assessments, weighted as follows: Portfolio (class-by-class) 30%, Cybersecurity Self-Study 30%, Assessment Test - Midterm (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 40% The average for this course will be calculated through three distinct elements, participation in which is mandatory (Portfolio, Cybersecurity Self-Study, and Assessment Test). Therefore, students must participate in all three types of assessment elements to calculate their final average.
