    In this course, students develop skills in computer science (hardware, software, productivity, and cloud computing) and cybersecurity, learning how to use technologies efficiently and safely in their personal and professional activities, with appropriate selection of applications and adoption of good data protection practices.

    O1. Enable the acquisition of computer knowledge (hardware and software) from a manager and user perspective; O2. Provide the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary for the correct use of computer technologies in the context of personal and professional activities; O3. Provide the possibility of using productivity and storage platforms and cloud computing; O4. Provide the acquisition of knowledge and skills on cybersecurity. At the end of the course, students should be able to: C1. Select the most appropriate computer applications for each situation and use them efficiently and productively; C2. Develop and insert content into collaborative computing and learning platforms; C3. Master the fundamental concepts of cybersecurity by incorporating behaviors, standards, and techniques that are essential for data and information protection into their personal and professional activities.

  • MetodologiaMethodology
    Face-to-face: 1. Expository method: Brief presentation of the defined program content. In addition, the demonstrative method is used to present concrete examples of the application of the content. 2. Laboratory practice: based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) methodology, aiming to find solutions to problems identified by students or proposed by the teacher. Independent: 3. Guided research proposed by the teacher, aiming to consolidate the topics under study and providing input for the practical work developed by students.

    A avaliação em regime curricular é composta pela realização de um exercício de avaliação direcionado para a componente teórica da unidade curricular e por três exercícios práticos desenvolvidos no período de aulas, sendo pelo menos dois deles realizados individualmente. Cada um dos elementos de avaliação tem a seguinte ponderação: exercício teórico 30%, exercícios práticos 70%. 
    A avaliação em regime final é orientada pelos mesmos objetivos e baseia-se num exame (100%) integrando a componente teórica e a componente prática da unidade curricular.
